Intense Nashi pear notes with hints of honeysuckle and lychee echo, leading into ripe green apple and pear nectar.
Crisp and delicate, with flavours of juicy green pear and pear blossom. Well managed tannins creating mouth-watering acidity with a light dry palate.
With lightly battered salt & chilli prawns accompanied by a fresh Waldorf salad.
Harvested in the cool of the night, between the 3rd and 27th February 2020, and transported to the Calabria Family Wines Brayne Road Riverina winery for processing. Upon receival, the single vineyard parcels were immediately crushed, destemmed and gently pressed in pneumatic bag presses. We fermented the majority of the Pinot Grigio in stainless steel tanks under conditions that retain optimal f ruit flavours. Selected parcels were left on yeast lees for 2 months, with weekly stirring to build mid palate, before bottling in November.
Best enjoyed fresh or will age for up to 2 years.
