Description
Folklore
Wines of outstanding value, they put fruit character and expression first. We believe wine is like folklore itself, speaking to us of our past, present and future. We make these wines with fruit sourced from our own vineyards spread across the south west of Western Australia.
2025 Folklore Rosé
The vintage:
The 2025 vintage was marked by a near-perfect growing season, with warm, dry conditions and consistent weather from budburst through to harvest. Spring was mild and clear, supporting strong flowering and fruit set, while summer brought steady warmth without extreme heat. These conditions allowed for even ripening, vibrant acidity, and excellent flavour concentration. Harvest began on schedule, with pristine fruit and minimal intervention required in the vineyard or winery. Cabernet Sauvignon was a standout, showing powerful structure, deep colour, and classic regional notes of cassis, bay leaf, and graphite. Chardonnay was equally impressive, delivering precision, length, and beautifully balanced acidity. Overall, the 2025 vintage is considered to be a very strong one for the Margaret River region, producing wines with purity, complexity, and promising aging potential.
The winemaking:
Held on skins for 6 hours to pick up a slight pink hue and gently pressed with 50% of the juice fermented in 1 & 2 year old oak for 6 weeks. Bottled immediately after fermentation.
The wine:
Raspberry and musk. Pale pink, ultra fine and long acidity. Dry.
